Bill could allow creation of half man half beast

This may sounds sensationalist, but it is in the online Bedfordshire on Sunday so must be true. I’m not sure that the “half man half beast” creatures are the ones that were conjured up in my mind- wild men like centaurs and werewolves angrily roaming the streets of Sandy, finally eradicating through fear the apparent problem of motorbikes racing round the Market Square- but the paper’s report of MP Nadine Dorries’s warning that loopholes in the proposed legislation [the Human, Fertilisation and Embryology Bill] could see scientists attempt to create human-animal hybrids is scary enough I suppose. Hurrah for the local media.
