Aurlog has been left out of the Time Magazine 50 coolest websites again. I think it is because of Time’s American bias. Out of the fifty, I think I’ve only visited Myspace and YouTube. That’s how cool I am.

I am 50% less cool than you, since I’ve also looked at (but not listened to) the 9. I think it’s a scandal that you’re not included; it’s possible that they feel threatened by your use of Icelandic or whatever it is. Anti-intellectualism runs rampant in America these days; it’s Dubya’s influence, and we all feel the pinch in consequence.
Of course, maybe your site would be cooler if this (rather lovely) new design actually specified white as the background colour for the main bit (instead of assuming that it is), but I’m sure that minor oversight will be fixed in time for you to top the list in 2007.
Oh, and comments should keep newlines that people put in, too; I am beginning to see why you missed out on the accolade now, I have to say.
Alright, alright. I made the classic mistake of playing with the site to make it look nice and never got round to making it all as variously compliant as it could be. Maybe I should put a big yellow bulldozer on it somewhere. And the comments formatting is admittedly pants and is somewhere on a to do list, being presently in so-safe-it’s-stupid mode.
Thank you for saying it’s rather lovely, though. And it’s Anglo-Saxon.
